Gerald Warren Phillips

September 10, 1946 - January 14, 2025

Tribute

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Phillips, a beloved husband, father,
brother, grandfather and dedicated member of the community. Gerry passed away peacefully in his
sleep on January 14, 2025, at the age of 78

Gerry was unwaveringly generous with his time, money and energy. He chose to see the best in
everyone he encountered. He was well known for his big spaghetti dinners and could always be counted
on for having a pot of coffee ready at a moment’s notice. He was a loving husband to Trudy, his wife of
42 years, and a devoted father to Kate and to Trudy’s daughter, Chani. Gerry was also a patient and fun-
loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Caden, Calle, Ethan, Elijah, Matthew, and Levi. He loved games
and could always be counted on for a rousing game of Yahtzee or Age of Empire with Caden and card
games with Calle.

Gerry was a proud and dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous, where he found his own path to
recovery and joy in being a mentor to many others. Gerry celebrated his 38th year of sobriety in early
January. He wholeheartedly believed in the power of second chances and worked tirelessly to support
those in need, always with an open heart and a steady hand.
