Susan Louise Butler

June 2, 1957 - January 26, 2023

Tribute

Sadly, Susan lost her battle with Cancer. Throughout her journey she showed
great courage with a positive upbeat attitude. Susan lived life to the fullest even
between her chemo treatments. She always had time to stop and chat with people
during her walks and outings. She didn’t hesitate to share her smile with others, often
adding a bright spot to their day like a ray of sunshine.

Susan is survived by her sister Marny [Sandy] Nassichuk, niece Erin Nassichuk
[Matt] and great nephew Emerson. Her Uncle Vernon [Shirley] Butler and many close
cousins. She was predeceased by her parents John Butler [1982] and Margaret
McInnes [1998].

Although Susan had worked or volunteered at many places over the years, her
favorite career was working with children. She spent many years working/volunteering
at Cranberry Children’s Centre, where many friendships were made.

A special Thank You to all of Susan’s health team, who supported her on her
journey – friends, support workers, Home Care Nurses, Doctors, nurses, nurse
practitioner, Oncology department, Emergency room and the 4 th floor nursing staff, as
well as the BC Cancer Clinic. Without your help and awesome support and care for
Susan her journey would have been more difficult.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2023.
