Doreen Ellen Holbrook

January 15, 1948 - November 29, 2022

Tribute

Doreen passed away peacefully, although she struggled with health issues for the last few years.

She was born in North Vancouver, BC, and moved with her small family to Powell River in 1974. Doreen worked at The Medical Clinic Associates for 18 years, a job she loved, retiring in 2005.

For many years following her retirement, Doreen travelled with her husband and at times close friends, and saw and enjoyed many parts of the world. She enjoyed boating and fishing and spent many vacations with her brother and our families at Yellow Point on Vancouver Island. She truly enjoyed living in Powell River.

She was predeceased by her son Andrew. She is survived by her husband of 55 years George, her son Christopher (Zara) of Prince George, BC, her brother Gary Surine (Debbie) of North Vancouver, BC, grandchildren Ethan and Wyatt of Prince George, a large family of sisters and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Doreen, you are a beautiful and wonderful person and we will miss you.

A family service will be held in the future.
