Duane Michael Howell

February 11, 1966 - June 9, 2023

Tribute

It is with heartbreak I announce the passing of my son Duane Howell, age 57, and known to many as Muffin Man.

He leaves behind his mother Christy DeVito, father Reid Howell, two brothers Jerry (Carol) Collins and Michael (Leslie) Collins, son Zachary Andrews, niece Taylor (Brandon Bax), nephew Isaiah (Sydney) Collins and great-nephew Elijah.

If you knew Muffin Man, you knew a legacy of kindness, selfless generosity, caring, humour, empathy and understanding from a warm-hearted soul. Even after many tragedies in his life, he bounced back with grace and joy. He is so loved and will be deeply missed.

Thank you, Dr. Uhlmann, Dr. Bazza and the special nurses who cared for Duane in his last days.

A celebration of life will be announced in late summer.
