Tribute

Joyce was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on August 22, 1927.  Predeceased by her husband John Hollingsworth (October, 2004), her children Arde and Gary, her parents Elizabeth and Steve Papuc, and her siblings John, Nick, Mary, Annie and Victoria.  Joyce is survived by  her children, Grant (Ann), Marilyn, Bryan (Judy), grandchildren Hollyn (Alex), Sean, Jennifer (Jesse), and Sheri, great granddaughter Adelynn, her sisters Helen and Eva, brothers George, Bill, Tom and Jonny and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce moved out to British Columbia with her family and settled in Tsawwassen B.C. where her father owned and operated a gravel pit.  After completion of school Joyce joined the Armed Forces.  Upon returning home, she worked in the family business.  After leaving the family business, Joyce went on to become a dental assistant.  She was introduced to her future husband John in 1964 through the dentist that she worked for.  Joyce also owned and operated a rest home.  Joyce and John married in 1969 and she raised their children.  She spent time travelling with her husband to Calgary and Edmonton, where he did harness racing.  They enjoyed years of travelling and eventually retired and spent their winters in Palm Desert, California.
