March 1, 1925 – January 29, 2019 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ian. He passed away peacefully in his sleep. Ian was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret and sisters Betty and Peggy. He is survived by his sons Rod (Donna), James, Doug (Joane) and Ken, his grandchildren Catriona (Mike), Seonaidh (Paul), Moriah, Rory (Meghan), Edward (Lauren) and Christine (Matt), nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Schweitzer, nurses and staff at Kiwanis Village, and Evergreen Care Unit, for the many years of exceptional care. Prayers will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, February 3, at Church of the Assumption and Christian Mass held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 4, also at Church of the Assumption; reception to follow at St. Joseph’s Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Assumption School in Powell River would be greatly appreciated.
